THERE IS NO OFF-SEASON
ISSUE #50

Football is back already! Sort of. The NFL Scouting Combine on-field testing starts today in Indianapolis. At 3 p.m. EST, it’ll be defensive linemen and linebackers strutting their stuff. On Friday at 3 p.m. EST, we can get excited about the 2026 Tight End prospects and watch the DBs work out, also. On Saturday at 1 p.m. EST, all eyes will be on the skill position players (QB/WR/RB). Finally, on Sunday, the 1st at 1 p.m. EST, it’ll be the offensive line prospects showcasing their wares.
We already know that the sure-fire first overall pick, Fernando Mendoza, will not be throwing. Instead, he will be firing spirals at his Indiana Pro Day on April 1. The signal-calling prospects to keep an eye on will be Ty Simpson (Alabama), Carson Beck (Miami), and Drew Allar (Penn State). Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) will be looking to boost his stock back to its earlier levels.
As you know, teams like the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and even the Minnesota Vikings will all be in the market after Mendoza goes to the Raiders. It’ll be interesting to see who creates the buzz in 2026. With the Olympics over, it’ll be must-see TV for sports fans.
In other news, George Pickens, Kyle Pitts, Kenneth Walker III, and Breece Hall are all expected to be franchise tagged (see poll below). Kirk Cousins is likely to be released. Players like Mike Evans, Joe Mixon, and David Montgomery could all be looking for new homes. The NFL is the ultimate “what have you done for me lately” league. Finally, RIP Rondale Moore. We need to continue to make mental illness a priority in this country. It’s an epidemic that knows no boundaries. If you feel you need help, please reach out. We are all loved by somebody out there.
DLF will have wall-to-wall coverage of the Combine, but you should be gearing yourself up for the event right now! Check out our 2026 Dynasty Rookie Early Look profiles for an introduction to the top rookies that are most likely to be fantasy football stars for the years to come. DLF is the subscription that you need to have to win the dynasty fantasy football off-season. That’s because, at DLF, there truly is no off-season!

Kyle Pitts is getting the franchise tag. Good move? Time will tell. The talent is undeniable. There have been flashes. But, boy, have there been some letdowns, too. Is quarterback play to blame? Over the past two seasons, Michael Penix hasn’t done the Florida alum many favors.

We can see that Pitts averages almost 3 PPR points per game without Penix at the helm. Things were a bit more tolerable with Kirk Cousins slinging the rock. The double-digit average is always nice to see out of a TE.

The biggest question entering 2026 is who will be the quarterback in Atlanta? We mentioned that Cousins is on the outs. We don’t think anyone truly believes Penix is the answer. What if Atlanta lands someone like Daniel Jones, Malik Willis, or even Kyler Murray? Could this be the one unturned rock left out there?

Whatever your take is on Pitts, we hope you got him early last season before he exploded for an extended stretch. The ADP has climbed back up in the top-7 range. With the lack of other options at the position, it’s not a surprise. We are bullish on the still young pass catcher. He certainly cannot get any worse…can he?

DYNASTY TRENDING OBSERVATIONS
Welcome to Monday Mocks, where I’ll bring you… you guessed it, a new mock draft every Monday during the off-season. In my opinion, drafting is the best part of fantasy football, so I do as much of that as I can. This series will include all types of mocks. We’ll draft startups, rookies, devys, and more.
Welcome to Combine Week! Beginning today, NFL coaches, general managers, scouts, players, agents, and media will converge in Indianapolis this week. As the first important event of the NFL off-season, dynasty managers should be paying close attention to all that is going on at this week’s NFL Combine. Here’s a look at the schedule of events.

Each year, the incoming rookie class is in the spotlight throughout the off-season. It is easy to break down the long seven-month window without real NFL games into segments, and the end of the first phase, “pre-Combine,” is nearly complete. During this stretch, dynasty managers have learned the identity of the official 2026 draft class, as some players opted to stay in school. Time has been spent analyzing breakout ages and dominator ratings, but the next real dose of information comes this week. Not only will the athletic numbers be important, but the players’ measurables are just as crucial for some.
With this first segment of the off-season concluding, it is a good time to share a final “pre-Combine” dynasty rookie mock draft. This one will feel a bit different. At DLF, we have already done a great deal of work on this rookie class, with much more to come as we continue to learn more about these prospects. Also, as part of this final mock, I want to refer back to some of the content and tools we’ve been working on since the off-season began.
For each player listed, I’ll include their current rank based on our 2026 Dynasty Rookie Rankings, rookie ADP, and startup ADP, as well as links to our recent rookie profiles. This will be all the information you need to get you ready for this week’s NFL Combine!
Here’s your final 1QB, PPR mock draft before the festivities fully begins later this week.

I know there aren’t any NFL games in the near future, but the NBA and college basketball are heating up! Also, check out the redesigned app and let us know what you think!
If you haven’t yet played at BNF, no worries! The game is a simple one. Pick MORE or LESS on a player’s stat line and add a few other picks to turn that entry into much, much more.
