THERE IS NO OFF-SEASON
ISSUE #36

Ten weeks are down in the dynasty fantasy football regular season, and for most leagues, that means there are only four weeks left to earn a 2025 playoff spot. This part of the season always seems to fly by, while you’re distracted by holiday plans, shopping, and feasting, all of a sudden, the fantasy playoffs are here! I like to take this time to analyze my schedule and the league standings. Are there any crucial matchups coming up that I need to plan ahead for? Standings are often tight, and sometimes a win in a critical game can be doubly important, because it means a loss for a rival you’re battling for a playoff spot. If you have any of those matchups on your schedule, be sure your bye weeks are all sorted out for that week, and have backup options at the ready in case there is an injury. In fact, now is a great time to ensure your handcuff situation is secure for the playoff run. Players like Tyler Allgeier, Chuba Hubbard, Kyle Monangai, and Jordan Mason are cheaper now than they would be after an injury. If you roster that starting running back, don’t wait for an injury to make sure your backup is also on your roster.
Davis Mills was this past week’s highest scoring quarterback, just like everyone predicted, right? Mills showed off the wheels, rushing for a game-winning touchdown in an improbable comeback against the Jaguars. Mills gets another shot with Stroud out for another week. Perhaps more importantly, Mills won me an important superflex matchup this week, so I had to shout him out!
The top running backs were three of the top four scorers on the season: Jonathan Taylor, De’Von Achane, and Jahmyr Gibbs. We’ll talk more about Jonathan Taylor in a bit, so let’s focus on Achane, who topped 40 PPR points for the first time this season on Sunday. It was certainly his best game of the season, but Achane has been incredibly consistent, going over 15 PPR points in every game this season except one. While the Dolphins’ season has been a disaster, Achane has been the lone bright spot. He had a season-high 28 touches in this one, topping his previous high of 23. Hopefully, he’ll continue to be the centerpiece of this offense, especially in a good matchup this week against the Commanders.
Two first-round rookies got bad injury news this week, starting with Travis Hunter, who will miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery. Hunter’s absence seemed especially noticeable this week in the blown loss to the Texans. The Jaguars need someone who can consistently catch the football. Hopefully, Jakobi Meyers can become that guy for them.

The Lions’ offense struggled mightily against the Eagles on Sunday Night. One lone bright spot for the team in Honolulu blue was their unpredictable wide receiver, Jameson Williams. Williams has had a rocky NFL career after the Lions took him with the 12th pick in the 2022 draft. He finally got a chance to play a nearly full season last year, and set career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. This year, he’s well on his way to breaking all of those highs, thanks to a great run of fantasy performance after the week eight bye.

Jameson Williams’s Dynasty ADP History.
Williams has had a few months in the top 50 for ADP, but he peaked in September of this year at 39.25 overall after a hot start to the season. A mid-year slump has seen his ADP plummet once again, dropping to 63.5 overall for the November dataset. It’s his lowest ADP since November of last year, when he had an ADP of 74.25. In November ADP, Williams is the number 30 wide receiver off the board. The DLF Expert Rankings put Williams at 64th overall, and the WR32 off the board. He’s ranked just below Michael Pittman and Terry McLaurin, and right above Ricky Pearsall and Davante Adams.
At only 24 years old, Williams is on an explosive run of late. He’s scored a touchdown and at least 15 PPR fantasy points, in four of the last five Detroit games. While that sounds great, he also has a healthy game with 0.0 fantasy points in that span. Williams is a boom or bust fantasy asset, but he’s racking up much more boom games than busts of late. With Sam LaPorta on IR, Williams should continue to be a critical passing-game option for Jared Goff and the Lions. If you’re gunning for a championship in 2026, Williams could be a great addition to your team, especially when you consider his strength of schedule down the stretch this season (including three straight home games to wrap up the fantasy regular season).

2026 NFL DRAFT: TOP DYNASTY PROSPECTS & TRADE OPTIONS
As we look ahead to the 2026 NFL Draft, as dynasty managers, we have to start thinking about where college players might be taken and which teams might select them. All of these factors weigh heavily on where a dynasty manager chooses to select a player in the first round or second round of their dynasty rookie drafts. By evaluating these things early, it might also open the door to a potential trade for a current player who could help you compete for a championship this season or in the near future.
First-round draft picks are always a hot commodity, especially leading up to draft season. But knowing who might be available at your pick is something that comes in very handy when looking to make moves in your dynasty league.
Let’s take a look at the possible upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Without any players officially declaring for the draft until after the college season is over, I am taking some liberties in putting players on my list who I think will declare. If a player is not eligible for the draft in 2026 or I don’t expect them to declare for the draft, then I won’t mention them here or I will tell you that I think they are going back to school.
The strength of the upcoming draft class looks to be on defense with a wide range of pass rushers and other talented players who will make an impact in IDP leagues. For this article, I will focus on the offensive side of the ball.
The best overall position in the 2026 NFL Draft appears to be at wide receiver. There are a number of players who have worked their way up draft boards. Let’s take a look at some of the top wide receiver prospects for this class. I have ten wide receivers I think can be taken in the first, second, or third rounds of the NFL Draft, which would make them possibly a top 24 pick in dynasty rookie drafts.
Jordyn Tyson, WR Arizona State
Many consider Tyson the top WR in this class and possibly the top fantasy pick. The injury history could deter teams from selecting him in the first round, but I doubt it. Most likely it would drop him from the early first round to the mid or late first round at worst. He has first-round talent as shown by his impressive 2024 season where he caught 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Makai Lemon, WR USC
Lemon has had a spectacular season for USC. He is flying up draft boards, and many draft analysts are starting to move him into the WR1 conversion. Lemon is spectacular after the catch and has fantastic hands. He has 61 catches for 937 yards and seven touchdowns through nine games. Lemon has two games where he has caught 11 passes for more than 150 yards and a touchdown this season, showing he has the ability to dominate a contest when given a chance. He is going to be valuable no matter where he goes, but if Lemon can avoid a team that is struggling to find steady QB play, and instead end up on a team with a true high-end caliber QB, then he has the potential to be a WR1 on his team and in the fantasy, which would put him in the conversation for pick 1.01. For those dynasty managers who passed on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, do not make the same mistake twice.
