THERE IS NO OFF-SEASON

ISSUE #44

Comebacks, coaching changes, chaos. Funny thing is, that doesn’t even come close to summing up the past seven days in the NFL. Super Wild Card Weekend was exactly that. Super. The expectations were certainly set high on Saturday with two out-of-this-world NFC battles. Sunday started pretty doggone good, too, before we had the Sunday night sludge fest between the Pats and Bolts, followed by the dud that was Monday Night Football.

Comebacks. How about those Chicago Bears? Left for dead and being called frauds by the end of the first half Saturday Night, Caleb and company came all the way back from a 21-3 deficit to hold off the rival Green Bay Packers. Williams cemented himself as one of the better late-game quarterbacks in all of football. He just keeps getting it done late. Well done, young man.

Coaching changes. Since our last writing, Mike McDaniel and Mike Tomlin have joined the ranks of the unemployed head men in the league. McDaniel has already interviewed with several teams for their head coaching vacancy, and there is smoke in Detroit that he could be the OC hired to replace John Morton in the Motor City. That’s a scary thought for every single DC in the league. No one wants to see what McDanel could do with the likes of ASRB, Gibbs, JaMo, and LaPorta. Watch out.

Mike Tomlin stepped down on Tuesday. That leaves three of the four teams in the AFC North searching for new leaders on their sidelines. Things will definitely look different in the Northeast in the fall of 2026. Does Harbaugh land one of the two division rival openings to spite his former employer? How the heck is Zac Taylor the last one standing of the bunch out of those solid coaches? This is why the NFL is king. The storylines are endless.

Chaos. The nail-biter between the Panthers and Rams was just an appetizer for the comeback kids on Saturday night. Sunday brought us a whole entree of goodness with a Bills-Jags game for the ages and AJ Brown vs. Nick Sirianni. How about we get the two of them on a UFC pay-per-view card? Who says no? The defending Super Bowl Champions have been sent packing and quickly fired their OC on Monday, to the surprise of no one. What does the divisional round have in store for us? Stay tuned.

While you may not have any dynasty matchups on your schedule this week, that doesn’t mean that it’s the off-season! That’s because there is no off-season in dynasty fantasy football. The work has already begun towards building the 2026 championship team in your dynasty leagues. Whether your team is looking to repeat as champions, turn around a tough playoff defeat, take your team from rags to riches, or you’re already stocking up draft picks for 2027, DLF is the place to be to find success in 2026! Take some time to analyze your roster with the My DLF League Sync Tool and the DLF Expert Rankings. It’s time to seriously consider Parker Washingon the WR1 in Jacksonville. Washington did his best to try to propel the Jags to a victory in the Wild Card battle versus the Buffalo Bills. Despite missing most of the first half with a potential concussion, the third-year receiver hauled in seven catches for 107 yards and a score. Not too shabby for a player who was unrostered in most dynasty leagues a few weeks into the season.

Somehow, Thomas Jr. and Hunter are going off the board much earlier than the Penn State grad. Washington finished as the WR31 as opposed to a WR42 finish for Thomas Jr. Washington pulled this off playing 6% less snaps as well (64.4% vs. 58.4%). He really didn’t start seeing legit playing time until Week 7. From Week 9 to the end of the season, Washington was the WR12 in PPR points scored and the WR18 in points per game. Over that same span, BTJ was the WR56 in points and WR46 in terms of PPG. Why are we still taking him ahead of Washington?

Sure, the return of Travis Hunter will take away some targets, but how many? We have no idea how TH will recover from his injury, and even if the Jags will play him much on offense. Go out and get Washington now at a discount. What he and T-Law have seems pretty special.

Rob Willette dissects the Superflex Trade Value Chart for January 2026.

SUPERFLEX TRADE VALUE CHART: JANUARY 2026

If you are a dynasty manager always looking for wins around the margins, you are constantly looking for trades that can help you get where you want to go. Fortunately, DLF provides the Dynasty Trade Analyzer, combining expert rankingscommunity dynasty ADP, and actual trades to narrow down a player’s trade value.

Of course, players’ values always change. Injuries, inconsistent play, or rapidly changing situations can all play a hand in causing a player to rise or fall. Below, we will look at some movers and shakers in superflex formats.

Moving forward, risers and fallers will be calculated based on the overall percentage of value drop as opposed to raw numbers. This is per a reader’s suggestion. Given some of the big risers from the depth of dynasty rankings, this includes all players, no matter their starting value.

  • The top six are well established with Drake Maye making the leap. Joe Burrow’s return to play and return to his usual dominance help keep him at QB6, and while there are young quarterbacks behind him ready to make their case, he still remains the rare pocket passer with an incredible fantasy ceiling.

  • The market has not had enough time to fully react to Patrick Mahomes’ torn ACL. Mahomes had a renaissance year from a fantasy perspective, with a spike in his rushing as a big reason why. Off a torn ligament, Mahomes figures to run less, and this offense is still looking to return to its glory days. Mahomes figures to slide down dynasty rankings this off-season.
