This is my personal weekly Dynasty Blueprint. This article and all of the content on DLF is for you, the reader. The goal is to make you a better dynasty player and bring home some titles. Hopefully, this will help you reach that goal.

DYNASTY FIVE

Here are the five dynasty-related stories that have my attention coming off another week of NFL action.

1. Drake Maye Be Back

For the second straight week, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is the overall QB1. After a dismal start to the season that had dynasty managers everywhere wondering if last season was a mirage, Maye shook it off in Week Four, scoring over 27 fantasy points via 269 passing yards and three touchdowns. I didn’t include Maye in last week’s Blueprint though, because in watching the game, he still wasn’t playing well. The numbers were there, but it felt closer to the first three weeks than any kind of legitimate shift.

After Week 5 against the upstart Raiders, that can all be forgotten. Maye played easily his best game of the season and one of his best ever, passing for 374 yards on a wild 76.5% clip, four touchdowns, and even added a rushing score, too. That was all good for 39.5 fantasy points, the second-most by a quarterback this season.

Maye’s ADP ascended to QB2 last December during his MVP-caliber second season and held among the top-three until this month. His poor start had everyone doubting, and Maye dropped all the way to QB8, falling nearly 40 spots in our October ADP data. Maye’s true value is somewhere in the middle. I do still think he was being overvalued as a top-two dynasty quarterback, though the swing clearly went too far in recent weeks. Maye and the Pats should get star wideout AJ Brown back on the field soon, so there are more QB1 games to come for the New England signal caller.

2. Greatest Prospect Ever?

I know there are many dynasty managers that fully focus on the NFL and wait until the off-season to catch up on the college game and the upcoming NFL Draft prospects. I’m not sure it’s actually possible, though to ignore what wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is doing at Ohio State. Smith entered this season as the clear WR1 in the 2027 rookie class and one of the key pieces that had the entire dynasty community attempting to hoard rookie picks for next year. He’s taken things up a notch this year and has many doubting the typical default to the quarterback position when it comes to the Heisman Trophy and the top-overall selection in the NFL Draft. Within the next few months, both could belong to Smith.

The weekly stat lines are incredible. Smith has multiple touchdowns in each of his last three games, nine total through five games. He has eclipsed 200 receiving yards twice this year and is averaging a career-best 19.1 yards per catch.

Smith currently sits atop both our Devy and Cornerstone Rankings. Our Cornerstone rankings compare the upcoming rookie class to the two most recent classes, so Smith is already being valued ahead of recent 1.01s Ashton Jeanty and Jeremiyah Love. There have already been many draftniks and onlookers suggesting that Smith might be the best NFL prospect ever and that he’s already being valued as the dynasty WR1 before stepping onto an NFL field.

I recently conducted a very informal #DynastyValueStudy, polling my Twitter followers asking if they would prefer Smith or some of the top wide receivers in the league. While he didn’t quite claim the top spot, the results might surprise you. The percentage for each player represents the votes they earned when compared to Smith.

3. Puka Nacua 52%

4. JEREMIAH SMITH

6. CeeDee Lamb 42%

8. Malik Nabers 22%

9. Drake London 20%

10. Zay Flowers 17%

11. Chris Olave 15%

So, based on these results, Smith is not yet the dynasty WR1, but he is the WR4 with room to grow before February when he will officially be included in our monthly dynasty ADP data.
