JAMESON WILLIAMS WENT DARK…BUT DOES IT MATTER IN DYNASTY?

Jameson Williams didn't just take a break from social media—he wiped the slate clean.

His Twitter/X? Empty. Instagram? Gone. No posts, no profile picture, no trace. Even his bio was scrubbed. It was as if he hit the reset button on his online identity.

He didn’t announce a social media break. He didn’t say he was “locked in.” He didn’t say anything at all.

In an era where most players build their brands before they build their breakout season, Williams is doing the opposite. After two years of frustration—injuries, suspensions, low volume—he’s scrapping the noise and getting to work.

New OC John Morton seems especially excited for Williams’ focus going into the 2025 season:

Is this break evidence of personal growth? Internal pressure? Fuel for a breakout?

Here’s what we know: the opportunity is real. Jameson is locked in as the WR2 behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, without any real competition. When the Lions didn’t draft a WR in the first couple of rounds, and then selected Isaac TeSlaa at least a full round earlier than most analysts expected, it solidified Williams’ role on the team.

Detroit’s offense ranked top five in total yards and red zone trips in 2023. Jared Goff is back. Sonic and Knuckles are back. And Jameson Williams—if he’s ready—is the only proven vertical separator in the offense.

But the dynasty market hasn’t caught up yet.
